Macaws for Sale

The most colorful members of the family are macaws. With their big beaks and long tails, they’re appropriately dubbed winged rainbows. They’re regarded as the most important parrots because of their size and wingspan. The birds have a unique combination of beauty, intellect, inquisitiveness, and other appealing characteristics that are practically legendary.

Sizes range from 20 to 42 inches.
Life expectancy ranges from 30 to 80 years.

Macaws are distinguished by their large, dark beaks and relatively hairless, light-colored medial facial portions. The facial patch is sometimes smaller in some species, consisting only of a yellow patch around the eyes and a second patch around the beak base in Hyacinth Macaws. Furthermore, the facial feathers of a Macaw are as individual as a person’s fingerprint. They have long tails and are usually brilliantly colored.

Macaws are lively and playful, with an enthusiastic attitude to match their size. As a result, they are difficult pets to care for. They’re also incredibly affectionate and require a lot of your time as well as a lot of attention from their owners in order to be happy. It is necessary to supply appropriate wooden toys or plain untreated bits of wood to gnaw on. Toys that can be disassembled for a treat, as well as hanging toys and toys to hop on, are all terrific options as long as they’re safe.

They’re loud, and their voices have to carry over large distances in the wild. As a result, macaws are difficult to keep as a household pet. The intelligence of macaws and their negative reactions to stimuli used on domestic pets, such as punishment, add to the problems.
